| “I
have the highest respect for them, especially for the nurses, aides and
therapists, who devote their lives to caring for people with disabilities,
the infirm and dying Americans. There are few more noble professions.”

Welcome to the virtual headquarters of the
Foundation for Hospice and Homecare
The Foundation was created
in 1982, the same year as its sister organization, the National Association
for Home Care & Hospice (NAHC). NAHC was established to represent
the interests of home care and hospice organizations; home care and hospice
personnel – including nurses, therapists, social workers, home care
aides and others; and the clients and families they serve – throughout
the Nation. Similarly, the Foundation was established to advance the
practice of high quality home and hospice care, as well as expand availability
and increase public awareness of these vital services, through:
- Education;
- The development of certification
and accreditation standards;
- The development of home
care and hospice quality standards;
- Strengthening and encouraging
the conduct of ethical standards in delivering home care and hospice services;
- Research; and
- Public Relations
The Foundation is housed
at 228 7th Street, S.E., in Washington, D.C.
The Foundation is a 501(c)(3)
organization; its tax exempt number is 23-7425651. |
